HISTORY
Founded by Peter P. Cappas in 1963, United Engravers has strong roots in the Chicagoland corrugated market.  By 1990, we settled into our current headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, after outgrowing a series of smaller locations.  Additional expansion in 2006 sent our front office into an adjoining building, and made room for larger equipment in production. We operate a satellite art studio in Michigan, and have team members on-site as needed across the United States.

Today, United Engravers is led by President Peter C. Cappas and Vice-President Terry Cappas. The Cappas family’s philosophy of continuous improvement has made us an industry leader; United Engravers is a small company with a big reputation as an innovator in corrugated printing plate manufacturing.

We simplify plate ordering, development, approval and production - so you can concentrate on growing your brand.

United Engravers is the ultimate design to delivery solution for graphics and printing plates.  Our team is proud to manage the branding of globally recognized products from Fortune 500 companies to innovative independents.  United Engravers supports the corrugated printing plate needs for a range of industries including Food and Beverage, Consumer Goods (Home / Household Products), and Oil / Automotive.

Two art departments work side-by-side to keep all of our customers’ graphics consistent and printable in the corrugated environment.  Liquid, sheet, I-plates, and digital technologies are available, as are flat-top digital dots and video mounting.  Real-time tracking and graphic libraries keep your graphics a click away, and our award-winning Safety & Sustainability programs make us a reliable partner.
